Project Location: Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science
North Chicago, Illinois
Project Scope: The two-story vertical expansion project was designed to increase the University's Laboratory and Office space programming requirements. Approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of new laboratory and office space was created over an existing laboratory/office facility that remained operational throughout the project. The G3 Construction Group (G3) was the Construction Manager for the project acting as the "Constructor". G3 performed a pre-construction budget analysis for the project, complete subcontractor bid solicitation/retention, project scheduling/management and accounting functions to support the project. The project was completed within budget and a 7-month schedule for completion to support occupancy for researchers that were recruited by the University to support new grant funded research programs.
